In the 1850 census he was with Lucinda his first wife, , no children listed, could not locate him in any other census but for the 1880, he had a 19 year old son Herman (a carpenter's apprentice) and a 2 year old daughter, he was 54 and his wife Emily was 42, Emily's mother Louisa Tucker also lived in the household.
