PROTECTION \endash Vickie Ann Straw, 47, died Friday, March 30, 2007 at Comanche County Hospital, Coldwater.
She was born Oct. 30, 1959 to Jack L. and Judy A. (Brady) Gee Sr. at Enid, Okla. She married Charliss Straw on Feb. 14, 1976. He survives.
She was a licensed day care provider in Protection for 11 years and a C.N.A. at Comanche County Hospital for eight years. She was a longtime resident of Protection.
She attended Roosevelt Elementary School, Longfellow Junior High and Enid High School, all of Enid. She was a former member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Enid. She was also a member of the Mothers Club of Protection, a Girl Scout Leader and a member of the local bowling league.
Survivors include her mother, Judy A. Gee, Protection; three daughters, Leslie Ann Straw, Protection, Boker (Betty) Jo Morris and husband, Shane, Freedom, Okla., and Shellie Renae Shepard and husband, Michael, Woodward, Okla.; two brothers, Jack E. Gee Jr. and wife, Betty, Medicine Lodge, and Cecil Lee Gee and wife, Theresa, Medicine Lodge; four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, grandparents and an infant nephew.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the United Methodist Church, Protection, with Rev. Dennis Carter presiding. Burial will be in the Protection Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday at Hatfield-Prusa Funeral Home, Coldwater.
