Relis Allen "Al" Mullins of Eugene died Dec. 23 of cancer. He was 68. Mullins was born April 10, 1935, in Coalgate, Okla., to Harvey and Viola Temple Mullins. He married Judith McCoy in May 1955. He graduated from high school in Casa Grande, Ariz., where he lived from 1935 to 1958. He moved to Eugene about 40 years ago. He worked in highway construction. His interests included bicycling, travel and gardening.
He held a U.S. patent. He is survived by his wife; his mother of Creswell; four sons, Brian of North Conway, N.H., Scott of Intervale, N.H., and Gregory and Christopher, both of Eugene; two brothers, Tim McCoy of Salem and Michael McCoy of Lake Oswego; four sisters, Barbara Straw of Creswell, Nina Higgins of Happy Valley, Calif., Maxine McCoy of Salem, and Pat Kelley of Albany; and five grandchildren.
