MONTEREY -- Funeral services for Bobby Meek, 75, of Monterey, will be held at noon Saturday, April 29, from the chapel of Goff Funeral Home. Burial will be in Phillips Cemetery in the Anderson Community with full military honors by the Veterans Honor Guard.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until time of services Saturday at the funeral home.
Mr. Meek died Tuesday, April 25, 2006, in Standing Stone Rehabilitation Center.
He was born Nov. 4, 1930, in Grant City, Mo., to the late Dale and Velma Bosley Meek.
Mr. Meek was a sawmill worker and a US Army Korean War Veteran.
His family includes five daughters, Susie Phipps, Ruth Buxton and Joan McCloud, all of Monterey, Mary Chokey of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Verna Davenport of Murfreesboro; a son, Ralph Meek of Oklahoma City, Okla.; 20 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three sisters, Sharon Campbell and Karen Lukehart, both of Omaha, Neb., and Susie Caesar of Red Oak, Iowa; and two brothers, Billy Meek of Ft. Dodge, Iowa, and Carroll Meek of Cannon, Colo.
