RAPID CITY \emdash Roger V. Overby, 80, passed away Sunday, April 29, 2012, at Rapid City Regional Hospital.
Roger was born March 25, 1932, in Hendricks, Minn., to Emil and Dora (Eggen) Overby.
He is survived by his wife, Janice Overby of Rapid City; two sons, Steven (Lynette) Overby of Douglas, Wyo., and Gary (Jennifer) Overby of Tracy, Calif.; three daughters, Sherree (Donald) Straw, Denise (Kelly) Moore and Theresa Sigler, all of Rapid City; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Gehardt (Marlys) Overby of Black Hawk and Daryl (Kreata) Overby of Rapid City.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. today at Faith Lutheran Church, 17 Indiana St., Rapid City, and one hour before services.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 3, at the Church, with Pastor Jeff Rohr officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery in Rapid City.
A memorial has been established to Faith Lutheran Church or the Children's Miracle Network.
