Hoke, 99, of 7EMS D3 Lane, died at 12:25 a.m. Monday (Feb.
18, 2008) in Goshen General Hospital.
He was born March 26, 1908, in Hart, Mich., to Daniel Samuel and Rosetta (Akers) Hoke. He married Helen L. Hamblin on June 29, 1929, in Goshen. She died in 1999.
Mr. Hoke is survived by one daughter, JoAnn (Jim) Waggoner of Goshen; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Linda L. Mann; four brothers, William, Earl, Gerald and Lawrence Hoke; and three sisters, Dorothy Kauffman, Edith Straw Kiefer and Mildred Marie Kurtz.
Friends may call one hour prior to Thursday's 1 p.m. funeral service at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, 1911 S. Main St., Goshen. The Rev. Brad Whitehead of The Lighthouse will officiate. Burial will be in West Goshen Cemetery, Goshen.
Mr. Hoke worked at Western Rubber and Bendix. He was a farmer most of his life. He enjoyed fishing.

SYRACUSE, Ind. - Charles L. Hoke, 99, 7 EMS D3 Lane, died Monday at 12:25 a.m. at Goshen General Hospital. He had been ill since Friday.
He was born March 26, 1908, to Daniel Samuel and Rosetta (Akers) Hoke, in Hart, Mich. He was a lifetime area resident.
He worked at Western Rubber and Bendix for five years, and was a farmer most of his life. He enjoyed fishing.
He married Helen L. Hamblin, June 29, 1929, in Goshen. She died in 1999.
He is survived by his daughter, JoAnn (Jim) Waggoner, Goshen; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a daughter, Linda L Mann; four brothers, William, Earl, Gerald and Lawrence Hoke; three sisters, Dorothy Kauffman, Edith Straw Kiefer and Mildred Marie Kurtz.
Friends may call from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen, where the funeral will begin at 1 p.m.
Burial will be in West Goshen Cemetery, Goshen.
