Mary L. Campbell, age 86 passed away Saturday, September 5, 2009, in Cheboygan, Michigan.
She was born November 23, 1922, in Bedford, IN to Foster and Lillie (Hartman) Bastain. On April 9, 1990, in Bedford, Mary married Robert Campbell who survives. Mary attended Indiana State Teachers College and graduated with a Masters Degree in Education.
She taught 1st grade in Bedford for more than 40 years and retired in 1985.
She enjoyed crafting, reading, quilting and traveling and was very active in her churches Grace Methodist Church in Bedford and Evangelical Community Christian Church in Bloomington.
Besides her husband Bob, Mary is survived by her three children, Beth (Ray) Straw of Eden Prairie, MN, Mary (Walter) Johantgen of Carmel, IN and Bruce (Georgia) Campbell of Mooresville, NC, one brother, James (Bernice) Bastain of Jasonville, IN, six grandchildren, Jason Straw of Bloomington, Ian (Sara) Straw of Carmel, Greg Campbell and Andrew Campbell both of Mooresville, NC and Wolfe Johantgen and Greta Johantgen both of Carmel, four great grandchildren, Divina Thrasher of Bloomington, Sunny Straw of Terre Haute, Elihu Straw-Thrasher of Bloomington and Kyla Straw of Camel and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be announced at a later date.

Mary married Robert Campbell on 9 Apr 1990 in Bedford, Indiana. (Robert Campbell was born on 26 Nov 1921 in Jasonville, Indiana and died on 28 Mar 2012 in Carmel, Indiana.)
