Eva Elaine Webster
Age 88, of Owosso, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2007, at Memorial Healthcare Center, Owosso.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, at the Senior Citizen Center, Owosso. Pastor James Noble will officiate.
Eva was born in Rose City Aug. 15, 1919, the daughter of Melville and Lela (Straw) Edwards. She graduated from Rose City High School with the class of 1938. On April 10, 1943, she and Harvard D. Webster were married in Salinas, Calif. He passed away Jan. 27, 1995. She had resided in Owosso for more than 50 years.
Eva was known for her wonderful baked goods, "reats" as she called them. Gardening and dancing were her passions. For many in the community, she was known as "unt Eva" due to more than 30 years of providing child care in her home. She contributed generously to bake sales, raising money for the Owosso Senior Citizen Center, Owosso Community Players and various schools.
She was active with the Owosso Senior Citizen Center.
Survivors include: a son, Dan D. Webster (Mary Elaine Spencer) of Dargaville, New Zealand and Marmaris, Turkey; grandchildren, Karrie (James) Brazaski of Rio Rancho, N.M., Jennifer Spencer (Derek) Sliman of Fort Myers, Fla., and Toby Webster of Seattle, Wash.; great-grandchildren, Eli Michael Brazaski and Kiera Mary Elizabeth Sliman; three sisters, Alma LeBlanc of St. Clair Shores, Ione and George Valley of Owosso and Verba Doll of Owosso; brother-in-law, William Fuhrman of Taylor; and very special friend, Jack Eastman of Clio.
She was predeceased by her husband; brother, Jack Edwards; and sister, Mary Fuhrman.
Memorials may be made to Owosso Senior Citizen Center.
