LAKSO. Frances Lakso, 78, formerly of Snipsic View Heights, Ellington, died Wednesday (May 24) at a local nursing home. She was the wife of Wilho ``William'' Lakso. Born in New Haven, the daughter of the late Harry J. and Florence (Smith) Clark, she had lived in Ellington for over 40 years. Mrs. Lakso had worked for the U.S. Envelope Co. for 20 years before her retirement. Besides her husband she leaves her son and daughter- in-law, James and Elena Lakso of Ellington; her daughter and son- in-law, Joan and Edward Cole of Old Saybrook; her sister, Mildred Straw of Hamden; and her grandchildren, Jessica Lakso, Beth Cole, and Kristian and Karen Cole. Funeral services will be Friday (May 26) 11 a.m., at the Ladd- Turkington Funeral Home, 551 Talcottville Rd., (Rt. 83) Vernon. Burial will be in Grove Hill Cemetery, Rockville. Friends may call at the funeral home today, 6-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Visiting Nurse and Community Care, Inc., 8 Keynote Dr., Ver non 06066.
