Deceased Name: Ray Hayes
BRANT LAKE \emdash Ray Hayes, 85, died Thursday, July 21, 2011, at Glens Falls Hospital. Born in the Town of Horicon, he was the son of the late Jared and Pearl (Balch) Hayes.
Mr. Hayes served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a technician, fourth grade. He was retired from North Warren Central School as head custodian with 31 years of service. He was also employed at Tumble Brook Farm in Brant Lake. Ray enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Besides his parents; he is predeceased by two sons, Gilbert Hayes and Steven Hayes; one daughter, Florine Hayes; two brothers, Lester Hayes and Lorenzo Hayes; and one sister, Lena Mae Randlett.
Survivors include two sons, Larry (Wendy) Hayes of Brant Lake, William (Estelita) Hayes of Schuyler Falls; one brother, Edgar Hayes of Warrensburg; one sister, Leta Hayes of Warrensburg; one daughter-inlaw, Lillian Hayes of Brant Lake; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
There are no visiting hours. Graveside services will be announced at a later date at Brant Lake Cemetery.
