LOUDONVILLE Catherine Schaap, 67, died at home Friday evening, January 7, 2011 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Ara Yoncko Russo. Cathy retired from New York State Department of Higher Education. She enjoyed spending time with her family at their Brant Lake camp, and working in her rock garden. She also enjoyed photography. She was the wife of Raymond P. Schaap; mother of Kimberly Pierce (John), Raymond P. Schaap, Jr (Trish) and Mike Schaap (Nikki); cherished grandmother of Brianna and Jennifer, Kaile, Courtney and Taylor, and Ryan; sister of Lorie McCormick (Dennis), Joseph Russo (Lisa), Peter Russo, Jr. (Carol), Ara Russo, Fran Drzymala (Jim) and the late June Spenziero (Joseph); special friend of Ginia Calhoun; several nieces and nephews survive Cathy.
