I can't find documentation that he is a s/o Tilly. His widowed wife Eliza and two daus are living in Hereford in 1861 but I can't find a print out of the census to determine how close they are to Tilly's household. Wm's LW&T of Nov 1857 names a brother Barton whose father is Wm Howe and mother Lodicia/Lodisa Smith so he is not Tilly's son. Wm also named his two sisters in his LW&T as Alfreda and Hannah. They and Barton are all children of Wm Howe and Lodisa Smith Howe. He also mentions his daughter Ida and a yet unborn child [Harriet?]

William married Eliza Blood. (Eliza Blood was born in 1835 in Hereford, Quebec, Canada, died in 1920 and was buried in Canaan Village Cemetery in Essex County, Vermont.)
