Hiram married Esther M. Luther, daughter of Sidney P. Luther and Hannah Calistia Howe, on 27 Jun 1888 in Pittsburg, Coos County, New Hampshire. (Esther M. Luther was born on 23 Jun 1843 in Hereford, Compton, Quebec, died on 4 Nov 1919 in Canaan, Grafton County, New Hampshire and was buried in Old Hall Stream Cemetery in East Hereford, Quebec, Canada.). The cause of her death was apoplexy.
