Elias Straw, son of Frederick And Catherine Wagner Straw was born Nov. 9, 1834 in Dauphin Co. Pa. Married in 1855 to Catherine Baker, b. 1839 Dau. of Frederick Baker. In 1856 they moved to Fremont, Steuben Co. Ind. Their 8 children were: William, John, Albert, Granville, George, Harvey, Augusta Jane, Hermie. Elias died 21 Nov. 1892 and is buried in Dygert Cemetery, Steuben Co. Ind.
