Barbara Walton, 73, of Lenexa, passed away May 20, 2016 at Delmar Gardens. Visitation will be 10:00-11:00 am, Wed., June 1, 2016 at Chapel Hill-Butler, 701 N. 94th St., KCK; with funeral services to follow at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Shriner's Hospital. Barbara was born November 8, 1942 in Fairfax, MO to Carl and Lois Coats. She graduated from Turner High School in 1960 and married the love of her life, Bill Walton on April 28, 1962. Barbara was a homemaker and was an avid reader. She enjoyed fishing and spending time with her best friend, her husband Bill, before his passing in March. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bill Walton; and her brothers, Ronnie and Gary Coats. Barbara is survived by her children, Ken (Lana) Walton, and Lisa (Raymond) Rohrer; her grandchildren, Kyle Turner, Sara Cruse (David), Tara Dene Creek, and Sam Walton; her great-grandchildren, Parker Rohrer, and Hayes Cruse; her brother Lynn Coats (Sandy); and her sisters-in-law, Juanita Coats and Kathy Coats.
