Mrs. Nancy Margaret Straw, affectionately known as "Grandma" Straw, died Thursday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. William Roneberg of San Francisco, Calif.
Mrs. Straw had many close friends in Klamath Falls, where she resided a number of years previous to going to San Francisco to visit her daughter. She has five children living, Mrs. Roneberg of San Francisco, James W., Henry W., and Isaac J. Straw of Klamath Falls, Charles F. Straw of Oklahoma, and Captain Edwin E. who is now in the medical service in France.
The body will arrive this evening and the funeral is to be held from Whitlock Chapel Saturday at 2:30 p.m. Rev. E.P. Lawrence will conduct the service.
Nancy married Dr. John Brown Straw, son of John Frederick Straw and Mary "Polly" Engledow, on 1 Mar 1855 in Wythe County, Virginia. (Dr. John Brown Straw was born on 29 Apr 1815 in Wythe County, Virginia, died on 12 Apr 1891 and was buried in Saint Paul's Lutheran Cemetery in Rural Retreat, Wythe County, Virginia .)
