Hi there, I'm so glad to contact someone related to a Mr. James Fitzgerald! I am looking for James, as he is in our family tree (my great-grandfather). Here's what I have: My father is Dominic Fitzgerald born at Merasheen Island, Placentia Bay, Newfoundland, Canada 1947. His father was Edward Fitzgerald born at Petite Forte, Placentia Bay, Newfoundland 1901. Edward's father was James Fitzgerald, dob approx 1860-65 (?). Edward was an only child of James and Johanna Hann Fitzgerald. I cannot find any documentation on James, unfortunately.
James married Johanna Hann, daughter of James Hann and Ellen Gambin. (Johanna Hann was born in 1871 in Petit Forte, Newfoundland, died on 13 Mar 1909 in Rushoon, Newfoundland and was buried in Petit Forte, Newfoundland.)
