ENNIS, Stan (Merasheen) - Passed peacefully away December 31, 1990, at his home in Southeast, Placentia, age 84 years. Predeceased by his wife Elizabeth 31 years ago. Left with fond and loving memories six sons and their wives: Richard (Annie), Andrew (Evelyn), William (Helen), James (Lorett), Philip (Claire), Jerome (Helen); six daughters and their husbands: Sheila Hanlon (Adrian), Florence Sainsbury (George, deceased), Elizabeth Houlihan (William), Bride McLennon (Pat), Lucy Williams (Rod), Anita Keefe (Jerome); four sisters: Martha Walsh, Marcella Ennis, Elizabeth Phillips and Sadie Giles; thirty-six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; also many other relatives and friends. Resting at Maher's Funeral Home in Placentia. Stanislaus married Elizabeth "Les" Pomeroy, daughter of James Michael Pomeroy and Anne Marie Hepditch. (Elizabeth "Les" Pomeroy was born on 18 Jul 1913 in Merasheen Island, Placentia Bay, Newfoundland and died on 29 Jun 1959 in Merasheen Island, Placentia Bay, Newfoundland.)
