ENNIS, James - Passed peacefully away at the Placentia Health Care Centre with his loving family at his side, of Southeast, Placentia, formerly of Merasheen, age 61 years. Predeceased by his parents Stan and Elizabeth, brothers Richard and William, parents-in-law Thomas and Rita Croke, brothers-in-law George Sainsbury, Adrian Hanlon and John Croke. Left to mourn with precious memories: loving wife Loretta (Croke), of 37 years and treasured sons Todd and Mike; brothers Andy (Evelyn), Phil (Claire), Jerome (Ange); sisters Sheila Hanlon, Flo Sainsbury, Bride (Pat McLennon), Lucy (Rod Williams), Beth (Willie Houlihan), Anita (Jerome Keefe); and sisters-in-law Annie Ennis and Helen Ennis Ledrew. Also, a large circle of relatives and friends from the Croke and Ennis families, especially God child Cindy Ennis. Resting at Maher’s Funeral Home, Placentia on Wednesday, 7 to 9 p.m. and on Thursday, 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian burial to take place from Sacred Heart Church, Placentia, at 11 a.m. on Friday, January 2, 2009. Interment to follow at Dermot McGettigan Memorial Cemetery, Southeast, Placentia. Donations in his memory may be made to Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of one’s choice.
