HICKEY, Henry - Passed peacefully away at the G.B. Cross Memorial Hospital in Clarenville on May 26, 2003, Henry Hickey of Southern Harbour, formerly of Davis Cove in his 89th year. Predeceased by wife Catherine, son-in-law Leo Griffiths, five sisters and five brothers. Left with fond and loving memories his daughters: Nellie Sirignano (Nash) of Millington, Tennessee, Maryann Emberley (Jim) of Southern Harbour, Margaret Griffiths of Freshwater, Jane Emberley of St. John`s, Judy Collins (William) of Southern Harbour, Emmie Pine (Raymond) of Southern Harbour, Jessie (Dave Hepditch) of Southern Harbour, Flossie (Melvin Pine) of Southern Harbour; Sons: James Joseph (Ida Mae) of Happy Adventure, Ambrose of Dunville, John (Marie) of Grate`s Cove and Anthony (Joan) of Southern Harbour; Sister: Margaret Heffernan (Ronald) of Jerseyside; Brother: Joseph (Ida) of Southern Harbour; thirty-three grandchildren and thirty-six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild and a large number of relatives and friends. Remains will be resting at Christ The King Church in Southern Harbour. Funeral will be 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 29th at the Christ The King Church with interment at Christ The King Cemetery in Southern Harbour. In his memory flowers gratefully accepted.

Henry married Catherine Emberly, daughter of Ambrose Joseph Emberly and Mary Anne Brewer. (Catherine Emberly was born on 18 Oct 1916 in Davis Cove, Newfoundland, Canada and died on 21 Oct 1996 in Southern Harbour, Newfoundland.)
