Ryan, Lucy - Passed away peacefully at Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville, on March 6, 2005, Lucy Ryan (nee Walsh) of Southern Harbour in her 83rd year. Predeceased by her husband Vince, father Mike Walsh, mother Cecilia Ryan, step-father Daniel Ryan, daughter Veronica, son-in-law Mike Gambin, daughter Clara (Traverse), brother Lou Walsh and sister Rita (Murphy). Left with fond and loving memories are daughters Sheila (Pad Mulrooney) at Southern Harbour, Marion (Bert Smith) at Sunnyside, Rita (Glen Wadman) at Deep Brook, NS, and Phyllis (Robert Kearley) at English Harbour East; sons Francis (Helen) at Southern Harbour, Philip (Hannah) at Southern Harbour and Vince (Priscilla) at Southern Harbour; son-in-law Eric Traverse at Southern Harbour; 23 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a large number of relatives and friends. Rested at Christ The King Church, Southern Harbour. Funeral held on Tuesday, March 8, 2005, at the Roman Catholic Church with interment at Christ The King Cemetery in Southern Harbour.
Lucy married Vincent Ryan. (Vincent Ryan died in 1998.)
