It is with great sadness that the family of the late JOHN LAKE of South East Bight announces his passing at the Long Term Care Facility in St. John's, on Saturday, June 6th, at the age of 101. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are son, Donald (Florence) of South East Bight; daughters, Elizabeth Murphy (Raymond) of St. John's, Cecilia Lake of St. John's, Regina Brewer (Joseph) of South East Bight & Matilda Whyte (Anthony) of South East Bight; sister, Veronica Connors of Placentia; 28 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; special friends, Jim, Joan & Mary Ward; plus a large circle of relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife, Mary; parents, John & Matilda; son, William; daughter, Theresa; sisters, Betsy Byrne & Flora Gambin; brothers, Peter & Dan. Resting and visitation will take place from St. Anne's Roman Catholic Church in South East Bight, on a date and time to be announced; from where the Mass of Christian Burial will take place on a date and time to be announced. Interment will follow at the Roman Catholic Cemetery in South East Bight. In John's memory donations may be made to St. Anne's Roman Catholic Church in South East Bight or flowers gratefully accepted.
