CONNORS, Michael - Passed peacefully away on July 4, 2005 in his 86th year, Michael Joseph Connors, formerly of Merasheen. Leaving to mourn his wife of 51 years Veronica; two daughters: Bernadette (Brian Granville) and grandchildren: Kelsey and Allison, and Alice (Irving Burke); two sons: Patrick (Gail Kielly) with granddaughter: Sarah, and Peter (Mary); sister: Julia Greene; sisters-in-law: Margaret and Marjorie Connors & Mary Lake; brother-in-law: Jack Lake; special niece Mathilda Traverse and a large circle of relatives and friends. Resting at Maher's Funeral Home, Placentia. Visitation on Tuesday from 7-9 pm and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Mass will take place 11 am Thursday, July 7 at the Sacred Heart Parish, Placentia. Interment to follow at the Mount Carmel Cemetery, Placentia. Michael married Veronica Lake, daughter of John "Jack" Lake and Mathilda Ward. (Veronica Lake was born in 1924, died on 28 Feb 2016 in Placentia Health Centre and was buried in Mount Carmel Cemetery - Placentia, Newfoundland.)
