HICKEY, Garrett- Passed peacefully away at the Dr. Leonard A. Miller Centre on Sunday March 13, 2005, Garrett Hickey, aged 75 years, formerly of Little Paradise, Placentia Bay. Predeceased by his wife Mena (2000); his parents John and Monica; as well as nine brothers and sisters Donald, Patrick and Jack Hickey, Mary Chisholm, Mary Brennan, Jack Pearson, Maud Brennan, Cicely Houlihan, Peter Pearson. Leaving to mourn five sons: James, Bernard, Gerard, David (Carol) and Douglas; One daughter Theresa (Greg) Barbour; six grandchildren Patrick Hickey, Mark Hickey, Natasha and Alysha Hickey, Nicolas and Katherine Barbour. He will be sadly missed by his sisters Irene (Bob) Norton, Theresa Shamon and brother Bernard (Dorothy) Hickey; sisters-in-law Beth (Peter) Ryan, Rose (Bob) Stacey, Josephine Hiscock, Ethnea (Charlie) Guiney, Tina (Doug) Chaytor, Mary (Pat) Hickey and Ethel (Jack) Hickey; Gary will be especially missed by his best buddy Gerry Houlihan; also extended family and many other relatives and friends. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Rd. on Monday from 7-10 p.m. and Tuesday from 10 a.m.-12 noon, 2-4 p.m. and 7-10 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will take place on Wednesday, March 16, at 9:30 a.m. from St. Pius Tenth Church. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are being gratefully accepted or donations may be made in his memory to a charity of one's choice.
