Passed on: November 27th, 2014
Passed peacefully away after a brief illness on Thursday, November 27, 2014. Austin J. Greene, aged 85 years. Predeceased by his beloved wife Angela; daughter Valerie; son Austin Jr. (Bud); sisters Winnie and Marie and brother Ted. Leaving to mourn daughters Moya (Roger Springall) London, UK and Kate (Alan McNairn) Charlottetown, PEI; granddaughters Mary Angela Rowe and Nadia McNairn; sister Patricia McCarthy, Rhode Island, USA; beloved niece Sandra Valone. The family would like to thank the many relatives and friends who supported our father especially after our mother's death. Particular thanks to Mary Waight (MA), Beverly Reed (Rhode Island), son-in-law Tim Summers, Patricia Heath and Vivian White. Very special thank you also to nurse Jessica Power who oversaw our fathers last two years with great kindness and dedication. Special thanks go to the nursing staff at St. Clare's Hospital 7th Floor East for their care and attention in his last days. Cremation has taken place. No visitation by request. Funeral Mass will take place on Monday, December 22, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. from St. Patrick's Church. Private inurnment to follow. Flowers gratefully accepted.

Austin married Angela Cooke in 1951. (Angela Cooke was born in 1931 in Newfoundland, Canada and died on 28 Nov 2012 in Palliative Care Unit of the L.A. Miller Centre, Newfoundland.)
