GREENE (nee Cooke), Angela - Passed peacefully away at the Palliative Care Unit of the L.A. Miller Centre on Wednesday, November 28th, 2012, at the age of 81 years. She was predeceased by her dear son Austin Greene Jr. (Bud) and beloved daughter Dr. Valerie Greene Summers. Among the many she is leaving to mourn is her devoted husband of 61 years, Austin J. Greene; daughters: Moya Greene (London, England) and Kate Greene (Charlottetown); granddaughters: Mary Angela Rowe and Nadia McNairn; sons-in-law: Alan McNairn and Tim Summers; special nieces and friends: Vivian White, Sandra Valone and Patricia Heath. Angela will be greatly missed by many dear friends and former colleagues from over twenty years as a teacher at St. Patrick's Elementary School. She was an adored mother, grandmother, wife, aunt and friend who embraced life and touched all who knew her. Funeral Mass will take place at St. Patrick's Church, St. John's at 9:30 a.m. on December 13th, 2012 to be followed by a reception for family and friends at the Bacalao Restaurant, 65 LeMarchant Road, St. John's.

Angela married Austin J. Greene Sr., son of Augustine Greene and Mary Shea, in 1951. (Austin J. Greene Sr. was born circa 1929 and died on 27 Nov 2014.)
