GREENE ROBERT J. - Passed peacefully away on June 26, 1993 at the Health Sciences Centre, St. John's, of Point Verde, Placentia. Veteran of World War Two. Predeceased by his son Desmond in 1977. Leaving to mourn his ever loving wife Julia (Connors) and his sister Alice Beaudoin at Montreal. Sadly missed by his four daughters and three sons: Beverly (Peter Healey) at Orangeville, Ont., Carol Anne (Bern Fiander) at Point Verde, Alice (John Stringer) at Hodges Cove, Betty (Jerome Tobin) at Pont Verde, James (Patricia) at Bishops Falls, Robert Junior (Cathy) at Vancouver, John (fiancée Tania) at Calgary. Fondly remembered by his 10 grandchildren: Charlene Healey (Burnside), P.J. Healey both at Ontario, Bobby, Karen and Sheena Fiander at Point Verde, Leslie, Danny and Lindsey Stringer at Hodges Cove, Chris and Melissa Tobin at Point Verde and a number of other relatives and friends. His remains are resting at Coombs Funeral Home, Placentia. Visiting hours 2-10 p.m. on Sunday, June 27, 2-10 p.m. Monday, June 28. Funeral Mass to take place on Tuesday, June 29, at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, Placentia. - GREENE, ROBERT J 26 Jun 1993

Robert married Julia Connors, daughter of Sylvester Connors and Elizabeth "Betsy" Houlihan. (Julia Connors was born on 17 Apr 1922 in Merasheen Island, Placentia Bay, Newfoundland, died on 30 Jan 2019 in Placentia Health Centre - Placentia, Newfoundland and was buried in Dermot McGettigan Memorial Cemetery, Southeast Placentia, Newfoundland.)
