LAKE, John J. - It is with great sorrow and sadness that we announce the passing, in the presence of his family, a dear husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother at the Placentia Cottage Hospital on December 9, 1994, age 68 years. Predeceased by father Patrick and sister Madeline. Leaving to mourn his loving wife Loretta (Ennis); five daughters: Anita (Ken), Donna (Curt), Elaine (Dan), Patricia (Mike), Barbara (Gary); six sons: Raymond (Maxine), Jerome (Juanita), Gerard (Francie), Ken (Kim), Joe (Linda), Chris (Leona); mother Margaret; four brothers: Jerome (Loretta), Pete (Loretta), Tom (Stella), Aloysius (Hannah); mother-in-law Stella Traverse, special friends: Kathleen and Don, Joe and Ethel, Leo and Clothilda; twenty-one grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He will be lovingly remembered by a large circle of other relatives and friends. Resting at Maher's Funeral Home, Placentia. Funeral Services at St. Anne's Church in Dunville on Monday December 12 at 2:00 p.m. Interment at Father Dermot McGettigan Memorial Cemetery, Southeast, Placentia. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to purchase equipment for the Placentia Cottage Hospital. Donations can be sent to Loretta T. Lake, Box 5, Dunville, P. John married Loretta Theresa Ennis, daughter of Joseph Ennis and Estella "Stella" Best. (Loretta Theresa Ennis was born on 24 Sep 1929 and died on 23 Apr 2012 in Placentia Health Care Centre.)
