It is with great sadness that the family of the late Terrance (Ted) Hickey announce his passing on Thursday February 17th, 2005 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook at the age of 77 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife of 52 years Verna (nee Batten), loving daughters, Marian (George) Rose, Susan (Michael) Young and son Terrance D. (Beverly) Hickey. Grandchildren Kenny Rose, Crystal & Ashley Young, Terri Lynn, Matthew & Julie Hickey, great grandson Ashton Pennell. Sisters Laura (Roy) Chaffey, Margaret (Leo) Hepditch, Elizabeth (Ray) Boyd and Mona (Carl) Fraser. Brother James (Yvonne) Hickey and Ron Hickey. Sisters-in-law Winnie Hickey, Sylvia Hickey and Margaret Hickey, brother-in-law Raymond Batten. As well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Annie Hickey, sister Mary Batten, brothers Rhoady, Gerald and Joseph Hickey, sister-in-law Joyce Hickey. Friends may visit Fillatre's Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark's Avenue, Corner Brook, today, Friday from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 19th at 10:30 AM from All Hallows Roman Catholic Church with Father Gordon Grace officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Receiving Chapel. As expressions of sympathy flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Western Memorial Regional Hospital Foundation.
