Traverse, Bernadette - September 4, 1931 - November 30, 2010, -- Passed peacefully away at the Health Science Center, St. John's surrounded by her loving family, Bernadette Traverse age 79 of Ferndale, P. Bay. Predeceased by her parents Ambrose & Margaret Dower, and sister Alfreda, mother & father in law Aloysius & Gertrude Traverse. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her devoted husband Dan, her children Barbara (Fred), Terry (Evelyn), Bob (Betty) & Alfreda (Mark), grandchildren Jason, Renee, Krystal, Jeff, Bradley, Victoria, Justin & Jamie, great grand children Alanna & Evan, brothers and sisters Harold Dower, Carmel Diamond, Ed Dower, Barbara Butler, Beatrice Moss & Gordon Dower, special friend Doris Cheeseman, special caregivers Darlene, Debbie, Jane, Jeannie & Holly, also a large circle of other relatives and friends. Resting at Coombs Funeral Home, Placentia on Wednesday from 7-9 and Thursday 11 am. - 9 p.m., Funeral Mass to take place on Friday December 3, 2010 at Sacred Heart Church, Placentia at 1 p.m. Interment to follow in Coombs Memorial Cemetery, Southeast.
Bernadette married Daniel Gerard Traverse, son of Aloysius Traverse and Gertrude Traverse. (Daniel Gerard Traverse was born in 1934 and died in Jan 2015 in Placentia Health Care Center - Placentia, Newfoundland.)
