COFFIN, Imelda Mildred - Passed peacefully away surrounded by her loving family at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital on Thursday, December 17, 2015. Imelda Coffin age 77 years. Predeceased by her parents: Aloysius and Gertrude Traverse; brother: Dan and grandson Brandon. Leaving to mourn with cherished memories her loving husband of 58 years Kelson; her children: Sylvia (Jim) Osmond, Karen (Bob) Ricketts, Les (Selena) Coffin, Wanda (Perry) Osmond and Aledia (Ralph) Drover; grandchildren: Jamie, Stephen, Corey (Natasha), Matthew, Melissa (John), Tanya (Michael), Leslie, Philip and Brent (Laura); great grandchildren: Coady, Emily and Airia; Imelda's special canine little buddy Lady; brothers: Frank (Rose), Neil (Glenda), and Gordon (Bridget); sister: Jenny Hynes; and special friends: Ken and Betty Mushens, Pearl Smith, Chick Walsh and Ruth Taylor. Also leaving to mourn a large circle of family and friends. The Coffin family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff from the 4th West Floor and 7th West Comfort Care Floor of St. Clare's Mercy Hospital for their continuous care and compassion. At Imelda's request cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Barrett's Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Ave, Mt. Pearl on Sunday, December 20, 2015 from 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Monday, December 21, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. from Barrett's Chapel, Mt. Pearl.
