HAROLD (HARP) HARNER
Harold G. 'Harp' Harner, age 82, died November 16, 2005 in Venice, FL. He was born on June 14, 1923 in Ypsilanti, MI. He was the son of Rexford Harner and his wife, Ann Sinkule. He was married 26 June 1948, Ypsilanti, MI, to Mary Jeanette Lannon daughter of Fred J. Lannon and Lucy St. George.
Harp was a 2nd Lt. Army Air Corp. navigator during WWII flying 15 missions on his plane, Irish Lullaby, stationed in the South Pacific. He earned the Distinguished Flying Cross, Air Medal and Purple Heart.
He worked for Ford Motor Co. in many executive capacities for 40 years with assignments in Ireland, Japan, Germany and England as well as in Michigan.
After Jeanette's death in 1987, Harp moved from Orange County, CA to Venice, FL. He was a partner with his son, Steve, in the Crow's Nest restaurant. He was a member of Mission Valley Golf and Country Club and was Episcopalian.
He was married 28 Oct. 1991 to Sally Gundry Dogoli and they lived happily until her death in 1997.
Harp is survived by daughters, Carol Taylor of Newport Beach, CA and Gail Pisano of Alpharetta, GA; and sons, Michael Harner of Hillsdale, MI and Stephen Harner of Venice, FL. He also leaves behind 11 grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Saturday, November 19, 2005 at 10:00 - 11:30 AM. A memorial service will be held immediately following at the Crows Nest Restaurant. Memorial donations may be made to your favorite charity. Arrangements by Ewing Funeral Home, Venice, FL.

Harold married Mary Jeanette Lannon, daughter of Fred Joseph Lannon and Lucy St. George, on 26 Jun 1948 in Ypsilanti, Michigan. (Mary Jeanette Lannon was born circa 1924 in Placentia, Newfoundland, died in 1987 in Laguna Hills, California and was buried in Ascension Cemetery - Lake Forest, Orange County, California, USA.)
