WHIFFEN, Patrick John - of Fox Harbour, Placentia Bay. Passed peacefully away at the Placentia Health Centre on Tuesday, April 9, 2002, age 77 years. Beloved father of Patricia (Goodwyn) Adams, Michael, Frances, Madeline (Cornelius) Gambin, Philip (Debbie), William (Ann), Paul (Rosalyn), Angela (Larry) Murphy, Veronica (Michael) O`Leary, Clarence (Ann-Marie), David (Lucy) and step-children: Maurice (Mary) Spurvey, Joan (David) Frenette and Ronald (Betty) Spurvey. Beloved also by 35 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren; dear sister Veronica (William) Magito of Florida. Predeceased by wife Mary Ann (1990) and step-daughter Helen (John) Loch (1982). Resting at Maher`s Funeral Home, Placentia. Funeral Mass at R.C. Church in Fox Harbour at 5:00 p.m. Friday, April 12, 2002. Interment at Fox Harbour Cemetery. Donations in his memory may be made to a charity of one`s choice.
