Obituary of Minnie Collins
Passed peacefully away at home on Dec. 23rd surrounded by her loving family and friends, Minnie Collins age 67 of Southeast, Placentia. Predeceased by husband Edward, her parents John and Bridget Pittman, infant sister Kathleen, brothers in law Jim, John, and Mike, and sisters in law Mary and Betty.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories daughters Irene (Duncan), Carmel (Sherry), Glenda (Wayne), Kayla (Randy), and special daughter Jackie, sons Eamon (Charlene), and Sean (Julianna), her grandchildren Shane, Robert, Edward, James, Jacob, Mia, Alison, Chantel, Hannah and Gracie, her brothers Tom (Neat), Rob (Marie), Mike (Deannie), Jim (Trudy), Wish (Kathleen), Philip (Belinda), John (Wanda), and sisters Carmel (Steve), Darlene, members of the Collins family, Pittman family, special friends Mary Linehan, Jean Fulford, Hilda Whittle, Florence Hayward, Bob Carr, Jeanette Smith, Jean Miller, Ruby Spracklin, Rose Brewer, Anse Sweeney, and Irene Murphy,also a large circle of other relatives and friends.
Resting at Coombs Funeral Home, Placentia on Saturday December 26, 2015 from 7:00- 9:00P.M. and on Sunday December 27, 2015 from 10:00 A.M. - 9:00 P.M. Funeral mass to take place at Sacred Heart Church, Placentia on Monday December 28, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. Interment to follow in Coombs Memorial Cemetery, Southeast, Placentia. Minnie married Edward Collins, son of Edward Joseph Mary Collins and Alice Jane McDonald, in 1966 in Newfoundland, Canada. (Edward Collins died on 10 Sep 2008 and was buried in Coombs Memorial Cemetery, Southeast Placentia, Newfoundland.). The cause of his death was Lupus.
