Pladt, Monica (nee Connors)
After a courageous long-term battle with Diabetes, Monica Pladt passed peacefully away in her 58th year at the Placentia Health Care Centre. Predeceased by her parents; Thomas and Mary Joseph Connors; brothers; Francis and James Connors; and sister Elaine Morin (Connors), Monica was born on Merasheen Island, raised in Placentia, and had lived in the United States for 23 years. She enjoyed her life as a loving wife, caring mother and a dear friend. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her devoted husband Fred; children; Clifford and Francis; sister Mary Traverse (Connors); brothers; Anthony, Cyril, John and Thomas Connors; sisters-in-law; Genny, Judy, Helen and Rachael Connors; and brother-in-law Liguori Traverse. Monica will also be remembered by loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Resting at Maher's Funeral Home, Placentia. Visitation on Saturday, March 15, at 5 pm and Sunday, March 16, at 2 pm.. Funeral Mass on Monday, March 17, at 1:30 pm at the Sacred Heart Parish, Placentia. Interment to follow at the Father Dermott McGettigan Cemetery.
