RICE, Philip Joseph - Passed peacefully away at the Interfaith Home, Carbonear on Sunday, May 30th, 2010, at 66 years, after a battle with Alzheimer. Predeceased by his parents: Andrew and Veronica Rice; Father-in-law: Abe John Green; brother Dennis Rice, Sisters: Anne Hatch, Genevieve Conners and Agnes Kehoe. Leaving to mourn his wife Marguerite (Green); mother in law Irene Green; children: Cathy (Darrell) Hatch, Sonia (Clinton) Tucker; grandchildren: Tyler Hatch, Savannah Hatch, Allyah Hatch, Brody Tucker and AJ Tucker. Many thanks to the Staff of Interfaith Seniors Home for the comfort and care given to Phil during his time there. Resting at Hopkins Funeral Home, Old Perlican on Tuesday, June 1st from 10:00 a.m. -10:00 p.m. and Wednesday June 2nd from 10:00 a.m. -10:00 p.m. Funeral service to be held at Church of the Assumption, Bay de Verde, 2:00 p.m., Thursday, June 3, 2010. Interment to follow at Bay de Verde Church Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations can be made in his memory to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
