ngb.chebucto CAUL, PHILIP FRANCIS New Minas / Kentville Philip Francis Caul \endash 87, of New Minas, Nova Scotia, passed away Monday, May 7, 2007 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born on April 17, 1920 in Bar Haven, Placentia Bay, Newfoundland, he was a son of the late Richard and Annie (Brown) Caul. Philip spent the majority of his life in Stephenville, Newfoundland and had been the owner and operator of Caul Agency, distributors of Molson and Pepsi products. He was a 4th degree member of Knights of Columbus and was involved with the Lions Club of Stephenville, Newfoundland as a life-member. He enjoyed sports of all kinds, including darts, curling, bowling and baseball. He is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 58 years, the former Rosella Pomeroy; four daughters, Jane (Lionel) Churchill, Labrador City; Maureen (Paul) Abbott, Port au Port, Newfoundland; Charlotte (Paul) Benjamin and Sharon (Marlon) Hatt, both of New Minas; two sons, Philip Caul Jr., Stephenville; Michael (Angela) Caul, New Minas; precious grandchildren, Kelly, Janine, Damien, Tara, Justin and T.J.; step-grandchildren, Melissa, Chyenne and Ashley; adored great granddaughter, Madison; step-great grandson, Jonathan; sister, Nellie; sisters-in-law, Nellie Caul and Elizabeth Byrne; brother-in-law, James (Mary) Pomeroy; a large circle of nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by a brother, Pius on September 21, 2006. Visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, May 9, 2007 with prayers to be held at 8:00 p.m. in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 10, 2007 in St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Kentville, Father Craig Christenson officiating. Interment will take place in the Holy Cross Cemetery, Kentville. Family flowers only, by request. Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
