MURPHY SR., MARTIN
It is with great sadness that the family of the late MARTIN MURPHY SR. of South East Bight announces his passing at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre in Burin on Thursday, April 27, 2017, at the age of 89. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are sons, Joseph, Martin Jr., Gerard, and David (Margie) all of South East Bight; grandchildren, D.J., Sammie, Victoria, Holly, Katelyn, Maggie and Jessie; great-granddaughter Natalie; sisters-in-law, Ellen Murphy, Ann Whyte, and Margaret Whyte; brothers-in-law, Bill (Mary) Whyte, Patrick (Clara) Whyte, John (Kathleen) Whyte, Tone (Tilly) Whyte, Michael Martin, and Don Lake; niece, Betty Murphy; nephews, Johnny Murphy, and Eugene (Tammy) Murphy; good friend, Cindy Murphy; plus a large circle of relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Mary, parents, John and Alice Murphy; son, Patrick Murphy; brother, Stephen Murphy; brothers-in-law, Raymond O'Toole, and Vince Whyte; and sisters-in-law, Theresa Martin and Florence Lake. The Murphy Family will be accepting visitors at St. Anne's Roman Catholic Church in South East Bight on Friday, April 28th, time to be announced; from where the Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at St. Anne's Roman Catholic Cemetery in South East Bight.
