Raymond Duke 1931-2013 Duke, Raymond Joseph - Passed peacefully away at Placentia Health Centre on Monday, August 5, 2013, age 81 years. Predeceased by his wife Violet (King) in October, 2008; daughter Madeline Wakeham in August, 2009; sister Betty Collins; brother James Duke; sister in law Christine Duke; nephew Brian Duke and his parents James and Jane Duke. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his sons Raymond (Colleen), Charlie, Dennis and Edward; Daughters Jane Janzen (Allen), Denise (Shawn), Doreen Kraft (Gord), Ann Marie Kerrivan (Leon); son in law Donald Wakeham; 14 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; Brothers Francis (Carmel), Leo (Betty), Bill (Lucy), and Cyril; brother in law Doug Collins; sisters Margaret Stewart (Cyril), Ann Petten (Fred), Doreen Downer (Charlie), and sister in law Theresa Duke; as well as a large circle of relatives and friends. Resting at Maher's Funeral Home, Placentia on Wednesday, August 7 from 7pm to 9pm and on Thursday from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 9pm. Funeral Mass to take place 11am on Friday at Holy Rosary Church, Freshwater. Interment to follow at Dermot McGettigan Memorial Cemetery, Southeast, Placentia. Flowers gratefully accepted.

Raymond married Violet King, daughter of Dennis King and Anne. (Violet King died in Oct 2008 in Newfoundland, Canada.)
