DYKE, Frank J. Sr.- It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Frank J. Dyke Sr. on January 22, 2007. Well known business owner of the Sports Shop Ltd. on Water Street. Left with fond and loving memories his beloved wife of 62 years, Mary (nee Piccott); his children: Carol Taylor (Gerald), Halifax, Joan Zinn (Donald), Halifax, Rosalind English-Kendall (Edward), Frank Jr. (Karen), Sharon Norman (David); grandchildren: Sandra, Catherine, Lisa, Rosalind and Adam Taylor, Bonnie and Nancy Zinn, Jason English, Scott, Stephanie, Rebecca and Stephen, Mark, Gregory and Kimberly Norman; brother Wilf and sister Joan; eight great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. Resting at Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road with visitation on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Wednesday, January 24, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. from the Carnell Memorial Chapel. Cremation will follow. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in his memory may be made to the Diabetes Association or the Alzheimer's Society.
