my grandfather, Douglas Leonard , was born in St. Leonard's in 1892. He had many siblings, Vincent , William, John, Thomas, Phonse , Bride and Josephine. He came to Grandfalls to go to work in the paper mill somewhere around 1915 -1920 . He would tell me stories about St. Leonard's and St. Kyran's . He would visit St. Kyran's for several days at a time because many of his cousins lived there.
