It is with great sadness that the family of the late James (Jim) Ballard announce his passing at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital, Stephenville on Wednesday, September 16, 2009 at the age of 70 years. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Theresa, four sons: Joseph (Trudy) of Aguathuna, Jimmy (Anne Marie) of Aguathuna, Derek (Tracey) of Halifax, Nova Scotia, Robert of Aguathuna, two daughters: Colleen (Michael) of Port au Port East, Shelley (Roger) of Port au Port East, one brother, Francis (Paula) Ballard of Stephenville, three sisters: Rose of Stephenville, Marie (Keith) of British Columbia, Marina (Tom) of New York, seven grandchildren, one great-grandchild and a large circle of relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Leo and Alice Ballard, his five sisters and two brothers. Friends may call at the Maria Regina Parish, Port au Port East on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will take place on Friday, September 18th at 10:30 a.m. at the Maria Regina Parish, Port au Port East with cremation to follow. Interment will take place on Saturday, September 19th at 11:00 a.m. at the Roman Catholic Cemetery in Port au Port East. Funeral arrangements are under the supervision of Russell's Funeral Home & Crematorium, Stephenville
