GALE (Felix), Marion Sarah age 71, of Westphal, passed away on April 6, 2016 passed away at home. Born in Felix Cove, NL, she was a daughter of the late William and Margaret (Duffy) Felix. Marion met the love of her life, Leonard when she was 15 and they married when she was 22. Her world revolved around him and her family. She treasured time spent with family and friends. She would help anyone she could and made everyone feel welcome in her home. She was strong and determined and always did what had to be done. She was famous for her BBQ spare ribs and homemade bread and she had a soft spot for animals.
Marion is survived by her daughter Carol Anne (David Priddle); son Philip; grandchildren, Dylan, Hilary, Lauren, and Sydney; siblings, Florence (Don) Power, Cecelia Russell, Barbie Felix, Jessie Ballard, Thelma (Reggie) Prado, Patsy (Pat) McLennan, Robert (Linda) Felix, Charlie (Doris) Felix, John (Jean) Felix, sister in law Liz Felix; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Leonard; siblings, Mary (Mike) Bedo, Tina Harview, Burt (Margie), Morris, and Paddy (Mildred).
Cremation has taken place. The funeral mass will be held on Tuesday April 12 at 2pm in Saint John XXII Roman Catholic Church, 35 Colby Drive, Dartmouth, Father Edwin Gale officiating. Interment in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens with reception to follow in the Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main St, Dartmouth. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society of Nova Scotia. Special thanks to all of the doctors and staff at the Dickson Centre for the special care they provided.
