HYNES In fond and loving memory of a dear Husband, Father and Father-in-law Gordon H. Hynes (Gunner) who died Dec. 23, 1990 age 79 years Dad, Dear Dad, you were so good to us, Your heart was good as gold, We loved you more than words could say, Though it was seldom told. You worked so hard for many years, With just one thought in mind, To help us children as we grew, The best of life to find. We think of you in silence, We often repeat your name, But all is left are memories, And your picture in a frame. You will never be forgotten. May his soul rest in peace. Ever remembered and sadly missed by son Terry and daughter-in-law Shirley Hynes and the Hynes family. - December 29, 2003

Gordon married Veronica Hawco, daughter of Edward Hawco and Winifred. (Veronica Hawco was born on 31 Oct 1922, died on 6 Apr 2008 in Bay St. George Long Term Care Centre in Stephenville Crossing and was buried in R. C. Cemetery- Port au Port East, Newfoundland.)
