It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mary J. Hodge of Marystown announces her passing at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre in Burin, on Monday, July 13, 2015, at the age of 90. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are sons Brendan (Bridget) of Marystown, and Johnny (Addie) of Marystown; daughter Mary (Edward) Farrell of Marystown; sister Theresa Smith of Marystown; brother George Brake of Marystown; 11 Grandchildren Brendan Jr. (Grace) Hodge of B.C., Wayne (Crystal) Hodge of B.C., Patrick Hodge of B.C., Georgina (Cory) Ford of St. John's, Jerry Hodge of St. John's, Terry Hodge of Marystown, Karen (Merrill) Meade of Grand Bank, Elizabeth (John) Bautista of Grand Falls, Valerie Hodge (Matthew Hewitt) of Nova Scotia, Cyndie (Scott) Kelly of Marystown, and Craig (Kerri) Farrell of Lewisporte; 17 Great-grandchildren Mary, Jordan, Grant, Elizabeth, George, Summer, Anna, Chase, Jonathan, Brittany, Christopher, Emily, Megan, Chloe, Sarah, Nicholas and Abigail; 1 Great-Great Granddaughter Lily; Special Niece Anita (Jim) Hodge of Lord's Cove; Special Nephew Wayne (Cathy) Brake of PEI; Special Caregiver Diane Power of Spanish Room; plus a large circle of relatives and friends. Predeceased by Husband George Hodge, Daughter Bridget Hodge, and Parents John and Agatha Brake. Resting and visitation will take place from Wiseman's Funeral Homes in Marystown, on Tuesday, July 14, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.; and Wednesday, July 15, from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Marystown on Thursday, July 16, 2015, at 10:00 a.m.. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Cemetery in Marystown. In Mary's memory donations may be made to A Charity of One's Choice or flowers gratefully accepted.
