Edward (Ted) - Passed peacefully away at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital on February 17, 2020 after a long battle with heart and kidney disease.
Predeceased by his wife Elizabeth, parents Agnes and Stephen Hickey, sister Rita (Hann) and husband Ray, parents-in-law Madeline and Thomas Whelan, as well as sister-in-law Christine and husband Gary.
Left to mourn are his loving daughters Ashley and Kaitlin; grandson Douglas; his brothers and sisters Ethel (Willie Wettstein), Leonard (Elaine), Vera (Bern Hynes), Patrick (Bev), Linda (Frank Kelly), Steve (Carm), Marella, Thelma (Harold Kelly), Bridget (Chris Newman), Frances (Mike Taylor), Brian (Sandra), Barry (Debbie), and Glenn (Tina); his in-laws Brian (Iona), Elaine (Tony), Peg (Ray), Brenda, Derrick (Rita Ann), David (Audrey), and Sherry (Terry); as well as many nieces, nephews, other family members and a large circle of friends, including those gained from a lengthy career in trades work, and those who so graciously offered their time to drive him to and from dialysis.
Special thank you to the nurses and staff at the dialysis unit at the Kidney Care Centre, as well as the nurses and doctors at the Placentia Health Centre and St. Clare's Mercy Hospital.
Funeral arrangements entrusted to Maher's Funeral Home, Placentia. Visitation to take place on Wednesday and Thursday from 2pm to 5pm and 7pm to 9pm. Mass of Christian Burial to take place 10:30am on Friday, February 21st at St. Anne's Church, Dunville with interment to follow at St. Anne's Cemetery, Dunville.
Flowers gratefully accepted, as well as donations in his memory to the Kidney Care Centre Dialysis Unit.
