It is with broken hearts that the family of the late MARY ANN MURPHY of Parker's Cove announces her passing. Mary Ann passed away at the U.S. Memorial Health Centre in St. Lawrence on Sunday, October 11th, 2020 at the age of 78. Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are her sons, Lorne (Levina) of Parker's Cove, Melvin (Yvonne) of Parker's Cove, Terry (Genevieve), of Parker's Cove, and Pius (Gail) of Paradise; daughter, Susie Fewer (Charlie) of Okotoks, AB; daughter-in-law, Elsie of Parker's Cove; 9 grandchildren, Melissa (John), Marlena (Lanny), Lorna (Damien), Kaitlyn (James), Kendra (Martin), Christopher (Alexandria), Taylor, Ian, and Rayna; 5 great-grandchildren, Sierra, Tristan, Logan, Landon, and nanny's special little boy, Daxton; brother, Cyril Synard (Kathy) of St. John's; sisters, Madeline Murphy (Tom) of Parker's Cove, Helen Reid (Hughie) of Baine Harbour, and Daphne Banfield (Kevin) of St. Bernard's; sister-in-law, Louise Synard of British Columbia; plus a large circle of extended family and friends. Mary Ann was predeceased by her husband Pius (1974); her parents, Ambrose and Bella Synard; son, Albert (2012); sister, Kitty (Raymond); brother, Pius; plus a number of brother and sisters-in-law.
Thank you to the staff at the Marystown Retirement Center, especially her good friend Martha Jane Baker, and the staff at the Long Term Care Facility in St. Lawrence.
The Murphy Family will accept visitors at Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church in Parker's Cove. In order to maintain social distancing and to follow the public health advisory of COVID 19, a walk through visitation will take place on Wednesday, October 14th, 2020 from 2pm \endash 9pm; and on Thursday, October 15th from 10am \endash 12pm. A maximum of 20 people at any one time permitted.
Due to limited capacity because of the COVID\endash 19 restrictions, a private Funeral Service will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church, Parkers Cove on Thursday, October 15th, 2020 at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Cemetery, Parker's Cove.
In Mary Ann's memory donations may be made to Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church in Parker's Cove.
