Walter Francis Miller passed away on May 17, 2019 after a long struggle with lung and kidney failure.
He was the son of Leonard and Mary Miller of Windsor, Newfoundland. He is survived by his daughter Michelle (Richard) Goodwin and grandsons David and Kolten. Also his siblings Ann, Neil, Patricia (Therese), Christine, Leonard, Doreen, Alphonse (AL) Patrick, Rosemary, Eileen, Catherine, Valerie and Robert (Chico), Rachel (Shelly). He was known and loved by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Walter was raised in Windsor, NF the wrong side of the tracks, to say he found trouble at times is not true, he often went looking for it. He left at a young age to live and work in Nova Scotia, Ontario and finally Red Deer, Alberta. He worked as a bricklayer for many years; and a furniture mover in Ontario and Alberta. He often outworked most men half his age. He was fond of beer, women and other social amenities in life. Walter enjoyed cooking, outside yard work and summer weather the most. As a survivor of flesh eating disease twice, two heart attacks and a stroke his strength and courage was well respected. His sense of sarcastic wit always entertained friends and strangers especially the nurses at Red Deer Regional Hospital. He lived his life as he saw fit and it was a full life with serious and funny moments. He will be missed and not easily forgotten.
