It is with great sadness that the family of the late Dennis Power announce his passing at the Bay St. George Long Term Care Center in Stephenville Crossing on Saturday February 27th 2016 at the age of 89 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Theresa, four sons: Bryan (Noreen) in Point au Mal, NL Paul (Julie) in Fort McMurray, Alberta, Michael (Chantal) Kapuskasing Ontario, James (Linda) in Stephenville, NL two daughters: Jill Power (Felix) in Halifax, N.S. Dolarosa (John) Leaman in Kelligrews, NL. Also leaving to mourn are his ten grandchildren, two great grandchildren one brother Ernest (Anne) Power in Point au Mal and a large circle of relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Dennis and Selena Power, his sons David, Dennis Jr. three brothers and three sisters. Visitation will take place on Monday 7-9 and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 at Russell's Funeral Home in Stephenville. The funeral service will take place on Wednesday March 2nd 2016 at 10 a.m. from St. Stephen's Parish on West Street in Stephenville with interment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery in Point au Mal. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the Alzheimer's society in Dennis' Memory.
