It is with great sadness that the family of the late Stephen Power announce his passing at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital on Monday, August 28, 2000 at the age of 84 years. He will be sadly missed by his wife Christine; sons: Kitch (Marilyn), Ernie (Debbie), Point au Mal; Gary, Port au Port East; Daniel (Genevieve), Oakville, ON; Art, London, ON; daughters: Margaret Power, Kippens; Marge Noble (Skip), Jeanette Power, Rosette Power, London, ON; Carmie Kraft (Ron), Fort Franks, ON; brothers: Dennis (Tess) and Ernie (Ann), Point au Mal; sisters: Martha Wakeham, Placentia and Lizzie Kennedy, Trepassey; 25 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and a number of other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his first wife Madge, daughter Colleen, sons: Stephen, Jack and Patrick; brothers: Art and Jack and his sister Selina. The family will be receiving friends at St. Vincent de Paul Roman Catholic Church, Point au Mal, Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., from where the funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 31st at 11:00 a.m., Father Gerard Patry officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital Foundation will be graciously accepted. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Fillatre's Funeral Home, Stephenville Crossing.
